Superb upgrade from the basic Weber Charcoal grill
We love the customer service we have received; the features of the grill that are great are the collapsible side table, the ring to hold the lid; the enclosed ash tray; and the removable center on the grill.
Weber 22 Inch Performer Grill
This new Performer Grill has worked well so far with no issues. That is; after Weber replaced the side table which was damaged in shipping.
Overall, I like all the little features that weren't included in my previous grill (I had a Weber 22 Inch "Original Kettle" Grill). I especially like the enclosed ash catch. Not nearly as messy as the "open architecture" pan of the "Original Kettle" Grill. I also appreciate the thermometer in the lid for "baking" but really I still use a Thermal probe in the grilled item(s) to control for accurate cooking temps.
The product is built sturdy and I assembled all parts together in about 30 minutes from the shipped condition. Instructions were clear and all parts were included.
The grill grate is of a much heavier construction than my "Original Kettle" Grill and this model comes with the removable circular center grate and I'm still getting use to that feature. There are a lot more opportunities for cooked-on food to stick and get trapped in all the grill joints, so a little more cleaning (wire brushing) is required to remove stuck-on food particles.
In summary; I'm satisfied with the Weber Performer Grill; I like all the added features and look forward to many years of grilling service. I've been using one of the Weber Kettle style Grills for over 40 years and this model should perform for a lot of years.Snakebite

Performe Deluxe on a budget, love cooking on it. The tray table comes in handy, and the bottom rack help with storing. All around great quality product, can't complain. If you have the money I recommend the Performer Deluxe just so you have more table space, which when making ribs comes in handy. But this one still does an amazing job.Torito
