Wow... Game Changing Experience!
Wow... game changing piece of equipment... (better than) theatre quality sound, easy set-up, great template included that made installation fairly easy, I installed it and ran the wires myself... and I'm not that handy... sub woofer is amazing and I could not believe how inexpensive this system was... I did match it with a new VIZIO television... Having the ability to Bluetooth the system to my phone to play (incredible sounding) music is huge... we are ecstatic with the purchase !Thomas
Worth it for the price
After installing and adjusting the sound and bass. Over all it's a good soundbar. Although I am using it for a small bedroom, it's still perfect for theatrical life with a 65” tv. I would like to assume it would be just as good for a living room or big spacious area to use. It is Bluetooth, it also comes with all audio cables to connect to the tv. Very simple instructions and manual to read and follow. Cant complain but will definitely recommend for its priceGerber
Easy to set up, great sound
I upgraded from a competing brand's 2.1 soundbar to this model from Vizio, and the very first thing I noticed was how much time Vizio had put into making setup easy. I'm pretty well-versed in AV gear (I have a full 5.1 setup using tower speakers and an AV receiver), but I was a bit surprised that some sound bars don't provide good advice on setting things up. Vizio is awesome in that regard, and also includes just about every cable you could want (including the HDMI cable, which should be required but is typically omitted!). I really liked that there were multiple reminders to use the HDMI ARC connection for TVs. A lot of folks may not know what that is or why it's important.
The only annoying aspect of setup was that the speaker gave voice prompts about "searching", etc. that were way too loud! I struggled to press the volume button repeatedly so that while it searched for the subwoofer, it wouldn't keep screaming about what it was doing. You may want to have your finger on the volume button during setup just to catch this thing before it starts talking! Remember that while the subwoofer is "wireless", it most definitely needs to be plugged into a wall outlet, and it also serves as the "base station" for the surround speakers, so you'll want to find a location near the rear of your seating area to place the sub that also has a wall outlet.
Once set up, this kit was flawless, and in particular, I really liked that the subwoofer produced a good amount of bass. It's a bit small and light, so I thought it wouldn't keep up with my previous kit that had a larger sub, but it sounded great. And the surround speakers really do add a lot of ambient effects. You could definitely hear them, without it being too obvious. The package even includes small wall mounts for these, plus another set for the soundbar itself.
Overall, I'm very impressed. You're getting a lot of value for your money with this kit, and Vizio has taken the time to make it very easy to setup. That seems like a minor thing, but honestly, it's a big deal, especially for people who are buying a soundbar to get an audio upgrade without the headaches of a full AV system.
