Best Budget TV for PS5
Definitely satisfied with performance and gaming experience. You can watch YouTube videos on how to set up but do some research. This TV is capable of so much you just have to know what to look for and what you're doing. Everyone thinks this TV lacks in depth picture settings because they go to the home menu. Even youtubers. Click the star button on remote to access even more picture settings, thx gaming mode, and advanced settings. It's also important to note this TV is 120hz native. Very important for gaming. 120 Tru motion or smooth motion is false advertising. That's 60hz sped up to look like 120hz. You also need to make sure your ps5, Xbox.. Etc.. Is properly setup in the settings as well. Enable hdr, performance mode and you will get what you're paying for. Smooth-vivid gaming with no lag whatsoever. I play call of duty with an actually gaming router, modem and 1gb internet. Low ping-no lag and the TV keeps up no problem. No stutters or screen tearing.
Please note.. Black levels are decent but if you want true blacks you should look at an old TV that's at least $1,000. In my opinion the blacks are good but don't fake away from the gaming or viewing experience.Lawrence
Unbelievable Value ! AA
I've been in audio-video for over 40 yrs. Spent weeks reading up on all the newer TV sets and pro/con points. I'm replacing a 15 yr old fantastic Sharp Aquos 46" LCD TV that was SOTA back then. Spoiled me. So I wanted a great natural looking and sharp picture. Finances said NO to replacing with comparable new $3-5k OLEDS..... So I decided to look at $1k TVs tops.... I started at the "bottom" with the 6 Series TCL 55" based on multiple reviews and tests. Got it damage free, thank goodness, and set it up....
I was NOT impressed out of the box - way, way too bright - way too jazzed up colors etc....reviews said so too.... I left it on continually to break in for a week, watched it occasionally , tweaking constantly along the way. Better-better-better - day after day....Most default settings were WAY overblown out of the box- Now that I have them adjusted way down it looks FANTASTIC on good material i.e. 1080p or 4k. Also I found using an Amazon Firestick or Roku Ultra streamer in thru the HDMI port is slightly better looking than the built in electronics - although stock is fine for the money. I wanted to a/b with a Sony X950H for the better upscaling it should give with its X1 Processor but I am just going to keep the TCL and use my external streamer - Roku Ultra. Incredible value TV..... If you give it a good signal it will dazzle you... Just DO plan on tweaking the set to suit your taste.....I used free You Tube test signals to get the basics right....then fine tuned with superb quality NATURAL looking 4k videos and Blue Ray DVD... WOW.. VERY IMPRESSIVEJimboAZ
I did a lot of research, saw a lot of videos, read a lot of articles. When they said "if you want great 55"-65" for under $1,000 get this" they were not kidding. I'm not a gamer, so take that into account. But, for an avid movie/TV watcher. It simply cannot be beat! The motion, clarity, depth, tones and colors are incredible. If the uploaded pictures don't "pop" it's solely the fault of my phone camera. If they do, imagine how much better it is without the camera. Don't waste time. Don't wait for a sale because they'll be gone. This 6 series mini-led QLED just came out in August. There's a reason it's already sold out once.Nef05
