Farberware 1.9 Liter Deep Fryer
Safely Designed for Scrumptious Deep Fry
FARBERWARE's Deep Fat Fryer came packaged in the best protective and recycle design I have ever seen in a product. The unit, when removed from the packaging is very nice as well. It could be kept 'on display' on a large kitchen's counter top. The instructions for this fryer are quite explicit and imperative to read before using for safe handling of the hot oil, and storing and keeping the oil you use fresh. Each component; the interior, the top rim and the basket & its handle all are designed to form-fit together to keep oil safely contained, and food and the operator safe. Note the slots I painted red on the rim of the pot. It is matched to the lid's slots to form-fit the basket and its handle so the hot oil is safely contained during cooking and handling the food in the basket. Even the AC cord is safety secured with a "breakaway" magnet for quick disconnect. Be sure to have enough of a high temperature oil [I like coconut oil] on hand, as it takes about a half gallon of oil to operate. The instructions are very adamant that you not use less than the minimum, nor more than the maximum stamped on the inside of the pot.
My Tip: Fry your food first, then fry some potatoes last. The potato pieces basically filter food residue and help purify the oil for storage... Besides my hubby loves fries !MamaBaer
I love this fryer. Its compact and simple and the lid ensures that there is no messy grease splatter! We made a batch of french fries and they were great. Heated the oil quickly, doesn't take up much space, and is very simple and easy in design. The only weird thing about it is that our french fries had instructions to heat the fryer to 400, but the temperature of the fryer only goes up to 375. Not sure if that will ever be an issue, but worth mentioning. We used 375 for the fries and they were great :)
The huge caution sticker on the cord was really annoying and did not peel off easily, left a lot of residue on the cord. But I still like the fryer, even with a sticky cord.Wolff
Good bye air fryer! Hello real fried foods!
I've owned 3 oil fryers in the past ten years. Nothing beat the taste or crunch that you get frying with oil. A few things I notice right out of the box that are a improvement since the last deep fryers I owned.
This Farberware has a lid with holes to release steam, it is really a nice change because you want the lid on to stop oil spatter but some air fryers the lid traps the steam inside and water + hot oil are going to make the oil splatter more. It's also going to be easier to clean then other deep fryers I've owned since the hearing element is inside the unit. I won't explain in detail but I prefer this fryer because it will be easier to clean. Overall it's the best deep fryer I've had at home and beats the air fryer in every way except healthy for you.Jacquefromla
