Bought one for my home and daughter liked so much bought her one. The people that complained about putting the legs on must not know how to use a screwdriver, very easy. Have been w/o power for 4 days with generator running and cut thermostat down, closed unused rooms and have stayed warm with this heater, would definitely buy another and love watching the flames.Vera
High Marks for This Little Red Stove!
You will LOVE this heater! This cleverly designed machine is great quality and has a lot of nice features. I live in a tiny solar powered home that produces more kilowatt hours than I use so I am very careful about choosing energy efficient appliances. An electric fireplace may not be the best way to heat a room, OR is it? First. If you want to FEEL warm and use only 17 - 40 watts then just use the adjustable firelight function. The firelight effect is beautiful, and the stove looks very realistic, but it is lightweight and clean, unlike a real woodburning stove. The firelight function doesn't generate heat, but if you have a blanket you FEEL like you have a fire going in the room. Quite frankly, in Germany in the Army on those frozen nights in the guard house I would have been glad to have a warm light bulb to warm the fingers! (We tried candles for a while, but the officers thought we might burn down the guard house with us in it so that was nixed! ) You can also use the firelight ambiance with a little electric throw or even a heating pad and a blanket. You would be surprised how fast you will get overheated, but unlike a real fireplace you don't have to let the room turn into a sauna waiting for it to burn itself out!.
Second, for those few northern Florida days when you just MUST get the chill off in the morning standing in front of something warm then this baby cranks out he heat. The high setting uses 1360 watt. I suspect you won't be able to take that much heat and will end up turning off the Turbo function and go to normal setting which uses only 720 watts. For the energy miser here is an observation. You can run the little Chinese built fireplace for 20 hours on high heat and use only 14 kwh of electricity or about $1.50 worth. For the same energy you can use it for 40 hours on the normal heat setting. And again, for the same energy you can run the little fire light alone for 4 hours a night while you watch TV for the whole winter and have that snug, fireside feeling. I expect I may use the heat function about 15-20 days a year when outdoor temps get down in the twenties on those days when my mini split heat pump just doesn't work efficiently or before the sun is up high and pouring through the east window to take the chill off. But, I may just use the jolly fireplace every night when it is cold while having some warm lemon ginger tea and snuggling with the heating pad. (That's what you do when you get old and don't have something better. Haha)
For the money this unit is surprisingly sturdy. It is compact so it doesn't take up the whole room. You don't need to run gas lines or chimneys or smoke out your neighbors or clean ashes or kill yourself splitting and hauling firewood. Just right for the well insulated, tiny house or any room depending on what you need. The red color is very jolly. Enjoy!Solo7

I live in a small single wide mobile home with no central het and air. My primary heating and cooling is from a portable LG AC unit with heat vented through a bedroom window. My total Squad footage is just under 800. I need a supplemental heat in the kitchen and living area. I bout this unit in 2017 at my local Walmart Store for 79.99. and has worked perfectly for 3 winter's. my electric bill varies between $42.00 and 75.00 a month. Two of my neighbor's with large home's around 1500 Sq Ft. and HVAC with heat pump's, complained about the heat pump's blowing cold air during the heat cycle in winter (which i normal for a heat pump). First one then the other, each bought one of these and both have loved the balance it provided as supplemental heat by keeping the house warmer and both have seen their electrical bill reduce significantly. One neighbor saw her bill go from $233.00 down to $170.00 the first month she used it. It proved out looking back at the bill from 12 month's earlier and the KW used. This is an awesome little heater and though the price increased from $79.99 When I bought my first one, I am now buying my second one. So I'm not sure about all the poor rating's on here but my experience has been Great! You do have to read and follow the instructions though. For instance you cannot run this heater on a switched circuit or through a dimmer! Just a standard 110 outlet. If you take care of it, clean the filter it will function just fine and should last a good long time. $79.00 for good service through 3 going on 4 winter's so far. I'm pretty happy with this value, not to mention the smaller electric bill's.Roy
