Good heater with authentic old stove style look. Y
I purchased this because of the vintage look it had. The heater is on the bottom of the unit, but it still warms up a room quickly. It appears to be metal, but is a hard plastic. The wood and flame are plastic, with a bulb inside to give the fire appearance, which actually looks semi-authentic and is safe. The outer part does not get hot, for safety. Assembly was very easy, as it was only attaching the screws to the 4 legs(3 screws per leg). I'd recommend this unit due to the performance and authentic look, opposed to any regular space heater that looks out of place because of their plainness.Chris

Comfortable heat with realistic heat effects
I've been loving this fireplace heater mainly because the heat produced is a gentle, comfortable heat that doesn't dry the air out as fast as a ceramic tower heater would. You can adjust the heater settings (min/max temp dial, 750w or 1500w) and the fireplace light settings on a dial. The cozy atmosphere the fireplace light, with it's flickering flames, creates when the room lights are dimmed/turned off almost mimics the real thing when our family is watching a movie or having a night time conversation.Jessica
